2026 predictions and a 10-Card Tarot Spread for personal forecast

Like I said in the 2025 Tarot Spread, 2025 was about preparing for a new beginning. If you kept up with the news this year (I understand if you had to step away a couple of times), you noticed that 2025 was the year when long-simmering issues finally erupted.
The Constitution of the United States is undergoing its ultimate stress-test. The Epstein files are revealing evidence about events going back to the 90s. Surveillance is reaching a fever pitch due to weakening privacy laws, etc.
2025 felt like the last season of a television show that started off as a cozy watch, but eventually devolved into a chaotic mess. In the first Fast & Furious movie, they were just stealing DVDs while street racing. By F9: The Fast Saga, they’re riding cars in space. How did we go from stealing DVDs to driving a car in space? How did we go from “lying about a blowjob gets you impeached” to “no crime can get you impeached?”
The stakes of this show are too high. The storyline is unrelatable. The characters are unlikeable. Nothing is believable.
And you’re ready for a new show.
And a new show you’ll get because 2026 is the year of new beginnings. This is backed up by numerology and astrology.
Numerology of 2026
In numerology, 2026 is Universal Year 1.
2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10
10 = 1 (because you don’t count zeroes)
The last Universal Year 1 was 2017. Donald Trump was inaugurated that year. Now consider how much the world has changed since then.
Alright then.
2026 is the beginning of a new 9-Year cycle in numerology. This year will mark the origin point for events that change the course of history. New technology (yes, newer than AI, if you can believe it). Innovation. New ideas and philosophies. New leadership.
On a personal level, you could consider changing careers, starting a business, altering your relationships (hey, have you considered polyamory to make rent cheaper?), and exploring new avenues in your spiritual life.
Astrology of 2026
Neptune moves into Aries on January 26, 2026. Neptune is the planet of spirituality, dreams, illusions, and the so-called collective unconscious. When Neptune moves into Aries, collective ideals are infused with pioneering, impulsive, and self-assertive energy, potentially leading to revolutions in spirituality, the glamorization of aggression, and mass movements driven by idealized individualism or chaotic inspiration.
Neptune will remain in Aries until 2039.Any move that lasts 13 years will bring something long-lasting change, but on top of the planetary move itself, we have to consider that Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. So this shift is Neptune restarting its cycle through the entirety of the zodiac, which is a new 165-year cycle.
If that doesn’t convey the enormity of the change, maybe this will: The last time Neptune restarted its trip around the zodiac was in 1861. That was also the first year of the American Civil War.
The Civil War redefined citizenship and freedom. The war’s outcome, cemented by the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, ended chattel slavery, established birthright citizenship and equal protection under the law, and (theoretically) granted Black men voting rights. The telegraph and newspaper reporting, including photographs from the battlefield, brought the horrors of war into living rooms with a new immediacy, creating a more connected, though anxious, national consciousness. The federal government expanded through the first federal income tax and the creation of a national paper currency. Not to mention the first military draft in the United States.
While history won’t repeat itself 100%, we can expect changes to day-to-day American life of this scale over the next 13 years, and the nation will experience its rewards and consequences over the next 165 years.
Neptune isn’t the only one shifting. Saturn also moves into Aries in 2026 (February 13). Saturn is the planet of responsibility and accountability. The last time it was in Aries was in 1996. We can expect a 14-year period where the collective is forced to build durable structures for new beginnings, channel aggression productively, and take mature responsibility for individual and national assertiveness. This era will reward disciplined courage and punish reckless impulse. At the end of it, we will see a more resilient and self-sufficient society. That sounds nice, but unfortunately, resiliency and self-sufficiency aren't forged by happy-go-lucky times.
Uranus moves into Gemini on April 25. Uranus is a rebellious planet. It rules over revolution and disruption. This is another interesting and alarming shift if you’re interested in history. Uranus was in Gemini during the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and World War II.
Uranus also rules over communication, technology, and transportation. Here’s where we’ll see new tech in the communication space. Beware of new ways you can be emotionally manipulated.

Tarot Spread for 2026: The Seed
The 2026 Tarot Spread is shaped like a seed, where everything begins.
Seeds hold the entire life pattern of the future plant within its shell. It also needs to rupture its own shell to grow. The beginning of the year will need a catalyst to push us forward as a society and in our personal lives.
Also, a seed can’t grow alone. When it grows roots, it uses them to draw nutrients form its environment. In a similar way, the communities where you’ve put down roots will nourish or challenge you.
The seed shape tells the complete story of your 2026. It begins with the rupture that starts the year’s major themes, moves through growth forged by challenges and community exchange, and culminates in a new, lasting foundation.
